Aims and Scope

The International Journal of Creativity and Innovation in Humanities and Education publishes scholarly work that promotes and fosters innovation, creativity and change in all fields of social sciences. The focus is on papers that will be influential in their field or across fields and will significantly advance understanding in the following topics: anthropology, sociology, politics, culture, history, philosophy, economics, education, management, arts, laws, linguistics and psychology. It provides an academic platform for professionals and researchers to contribute innovative work in the field.

The IJCIHE is an international journal and welcomes any research papers on education and science using techniques from and applications in any technical knowledge domain: original theoretical works, literature reviews, research reports, social issues, psychological issues, curricula, learning environments.
The Journal particularly welcomes papers in the following areas:

  • Papers reporting the findings of empirical studies using experimental or quasi-experimental methods and/or other appropriate methods that focus explicitly on evaluating the effectiveness of a particular educational program or intervention in improving outcomes for learners and/or teachers.

  • Papers reporting the findings of secondary analyses of large datasets and/or meta analyses that consider the effectiveness of particular educational programmers, approaches or types of provision.

  • Papers that report the findings of systematic reviews of educational research either in relation to the effectiveness of a particular type of program or intervention or in relation to what approaches tend to be most effective in improving clearly defined educational outcomes;

  • Methodological papers that either provide critiques of existing approaches to the design and analysis of research into the effectiveness of education and/or seek to develop new and innovative methods. These can include: papers that focus on the validity and reliability of existing or newly developed outcome measures; the efficacy of existing experimental designs and/or the advocacy of alternative or new designs; innovative approaches to the statistical analysis of data; and methodological issues in relation to research synthesis, e.g. the assessment of publication or design bias.

  • Critical and theoretical papers that challenge existing orthodoxies and encourage new ways of thinking about the nature, purpose, politics and/or policy impact of research into the effectiveness of education.

  • Serve the community of arts and humanities educators internationally, by publishing significant opinion and research into contemporary issues of teaching and learning within the domain. These will include enquiries into policy, the curriculum and appropriate forms of assessment, as well as developments in methods such as electronic modes of scholarship and course delivery.

  • Publish articles characterized by profound thought about both the interface between research and teaching in the subject in question and the transformational purposes of a higher education.

  • Promote re-conceptualization of arts and humanities disciplines in ways that reflect, and reflect upon, teaching.

  • Publication Fees: (for each accepted manuscript) an Article Processing Charge will be applied (250 USD). This will cover managing costs, editorial costs, as well as, upgrading our online system on a regular basis.

  • Swift Publication and Pre-Publication: Normally the processing time for each paper is within 1 month at the latest.
